This privacy policy describes how the Autotraxs Marketplace Lister Chrome extension ("Autotraxs Lister," "the extension") collects, uses, and handles information. It is published by Autotraxs and applies only to the extension itself — not the broader Autotraxs platform, which has its own privacy policy.

1. What the Extension Does

The Autotraxs Lister has a single, narrow purpose: it pre-fills the fields of a Facebook Marketplace vehicle listing (title, price, description, and photos) from a vehicle the user has already staged in their own Autotraxs account, so the user can review the populated form and manually click Post. The extension never posts automatically and never logs in to Facebook on the user's behalf.

2. Information We Collect

Authentication information

A private "connect token" that you generate in your Autotraxs Rep Portal and paste into the extension. This token is stored locally in chrome.storage on your device and is used only to authenticate to your own Autotraxs account.

Website content (in-memory only)

The extension reads the Facebook Marketplace "create listing" form fields so it can fill in title, price, description, and photos. This content is read in memory for the sole purpose of filling the form and is not recorded, stored, or transmitted to our servers.

The extension does not collect personally identifiable information, health information, financial or payment information, personal communications, location, web browsing history, or user activity (clicks, keystrokes, mouse tracking).

3. How We Use Your Information

  • • To authenticate you to your own Autotraxs account and retrieve the staged vehicle listings you choose to import.
  • • To read and fill the Facebook Marketplace listing form fields with the data you selected, so you can review and post manually.
  • • To store your connect token locally so you stay signed in across sessions.

4. Permissions & Justification

Stores your private Autotraxs connect token so the extension can authenticate to your Autotraxs account and retrieve your staged vehicle listings. No other data is stored.

5. Remote Code & Data Sale

  • • The extension does not use or load remote code. All JavaScript is bundled in the extension package. It only fetches vehicle data (JSON) and image files, and never uses eval() or external scripts.
  • • We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties.
  • • We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose.
  • • We do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

6. Third-Party Services

The extension interacts with Facebook Marketplace (operated by Meta Platforms, Inc.) to fill its listing form, and with your Autotraxs account to retrieve staged vehicle data. The extension itself does not transfer your data to any other third party. Your use of Facebook is governed by Meta's own terms and privacy policies.

7. Data Security

Your connect token is stored locally in chrome.storage and transmitted only over HTTPS to your own Autotraxs account. We do not store your Facebook credentials, and the extension never authenticates to Facebook on your behalf.

8. Your Choices & Removing the Extension

  • • Clear the stored connect token at any time from the extension popup.
  • • Regenerate a new token in your Autotraxs Rep Portal, which invalidates the old one.
  • • Uninstall the extension from Chrome — this removes all locally stored data immediately.

9. Children's Privacy

The extension is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the extension, please contact us so we can delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notifying users through the extension.
